How does SUBTV work?
SUBTV connects directly to screens in university bars, cafes and social spaces, playing a curated mix of music videos, live sport, national advertising and venue-specific content. Students can interact through the SUBTV Playlister app to request songs, vote on what plays next, and access exclusive brand offers.
What is Student Perks?
Student Perks is the exclusive rewards section inside the SUBTV Playlister app. It gives verified student members access to daily deals and discounts from top brands—tailored to your preferences and available right from your phone. It’s the technology that powers the SUBTV app and allows us to issue Gift Cards from approved brands.
How do I join SUBTV and access Student Perks?
Just download the SUBTV Playlister app on iOS or Android, sign in using your email and check in at your Students’ Union venue to unlock all the features—including music control and student-only discounts
How do I verify my student status?
Verification is simple. Sign up using your email address, allow location access to confirm you're at a participating venue or use a PIN code found on SUBTV-enabled TV screens. That’s it—once you’re in, you’re good to go.
Is SUBTV only for students?
Yes—SUBTV is designed specifically for university students and their campus venues. Access to the app’s interactive features and exclusive offers is limited to verified student members only.
How do I download the SUBTV app?
Search "SUBTV Playlister" in the App Store or Google Play, and download it for free. It’s available on both iOS and Android devices.
How do I use SUBTV to get student discounts in-store?
Open the app, browse local and national deals. Simply select a brand offer, enter an amount you want to load onto a Gift Card and purchase directly from within the app. Moments later, you’r Gift Card will appear in the SUBTV app’s wallet, ready to be redeemed and used at participating stores online and in person - easy everyday student savings, right from your phone.
